14 March 2011

middle of the road weekend.

i needed some quiet.
some rest from the few probing eyes.

the weekend past was "interesting" to say the least in the sort of 'why on earth did i do this' sort of way.
the idea was there. the inclusion was there and i appreciate that.

seventy + Subaru's in a drive? that i'm not so sure about.
eighty some odd people in a Hooters?
and ok. that particular Hooters? worst Hooters ever.
i wasn't aware Hooters could be a bad experience.
i just wanted to see some boobies and eat some wings. *sigh*

no boobies!
bad Hooters.
and ok i could handle no boobies in favour of friendliness...
no friendliness!
no boobies *and* no friendliness?! *gasp*
2 hrs of sitting at our table of four waiting for appetizers?
what the mother bleep?

the organised person in me says...
if we've taken the time (i.e. 90 days) to organise the event with the manager, verify the event numerous times leading up to yesterday...
you'd expect them to be prepared.

3 waitresses...
1 of which was apparently in training...she was sorta pretty, eventho she couldn't refill a glass if her life depended on it...

the entire Hooters experience almost made me wish i drank.

the drive to the Trailway was fine...if not pointless.

this new generation of Subaru club peoples are not...as friendly? something like that.
they're standoffish. cliquey. young.
if it wasn't for my S.O.'s want to be a part of something beyond the confines of our home...and wishing to include me...i'd bow out.

it really was a beautiful day for a drive.
the sun was shining. the winds were light and slightly chilly but not overbearing.

Battle Los Angeles was ok at best. *shrug*

all in all... the day wasn't a total Fail but it definitely wasn't Winning either.
